Block Island. Designated one of the twelve "last great places in the Western Hemisphere" by the Nature Conservancy. Block Island is three miles across at its widest point and 7 miles long. It boasts 365 freshwater ponds and is home to over 200 endangered animal and plant species. Located just twelve miles off the coast of Rhode Island, Block Island has many picturesque bluffs, rolling hills and trails with seventeen miles of sandy beaches to explore. Some of the activities include sailing, swimming, fishing, surfing, kayaking, hiking, bird-watching and biking. There is dining, shopping and nightlife to fit most any taste.
The informal and relaxed atmosphere of our Block Island Bed and Breakfast lets you escape from the demands and pressures of everyday life. Forget your agendas and your deadlines, lose your ambitions and your daily planner; relax and enjoy the clean air and night sky.
We offer two properties for you to choose from. The Barrington Inn and the Jane Marie Cottage. The Barrington Inn is open from Mid May and close for the season after Columbus Day, The Jane Marie is a year round rental property.
